How it all started

After studying Game Art Design at De Montfort University I ended up gamed-out, although I do still enjoy a bit of Playstation with my husband, Chris.

I decided to start creating my own designs in February 2014 shortly before embarking on a three month journey through Asia. Some may call that a quarter life crisis. While traveling we decided that what we really wanted out of life was to run an illustration business.

The Journey

After getting back to the UK Chris returned to work and I set about knuckling down with my illustration. I first started selling cards on my Etsy store and was so pleased when they started to sell.

It took a long time, a lot of cards, and a good few freelance gigs before we could finally fulfil our dreams and get our hands on the equipment needed to start printing t-shirts, mugs, and all the others awesome products now covered in my illustrations.

We started selling our new products in October 2016, just in time for Christmas, and it was crazy. Very quickly we knew it would take the both of us to handle all the orders so Chris quit his job and joined me on our business full time.

Somewhere between deciding to start the business and Christmas 2016 we found the time to get married too.

Looking Forward

So where are we now? Well after huge success on Etsy and with craft fairs coming up we decided it is time to start our own shop. So here we are.

I still design all my own original illustrations and am available for commission. So not much has changed there. However we now both work on the shop full time, printing and dispatching all of our orders from our lovely little home in Bedfordshire. Also, unlike our early days, we're now kept company by our two cute kitties - Scout and Mushu.

I hope you enjoy my designs as much as I enjoy making them <3
